WHAT WE DO
As well as regular training sessions the club gets involved in many events and activities. These can be local, regional, national and, occasionally, international!
WSFRL
Some of the most popular runs in the event calendar! WSFRL (West Sussex Fun Run League) is a group of 17 run clubs in West Sussex. Each club hosts a race in their local area once a year. Most are at the weekend, although some are weekday evenings, such as the club favourite summer beach run in Littlehampton.
These events are open to all club members at every pace. They are very social events with no pressure or expectations of performance. Just sign up to as many as you want and enjoy!
PARKRUN TOURS
Many club members are regular parkrunners, and can frequently be seen at local venues, Tilgate and Ifield Mill Pond. As a club, we also like to arrange monthly 'tours' to other parkruns a little further afield. These cover the surrounding area and the south coast (always popular in the summer) and venturing up as far as the home of parkrun, Bushy Park.
REGIONAL AND NATIONAL EVENTS
Too numerous to mention, there are many events throughout the year, popular with club members, covering 5k, 10k, 10m, half marathon, marathons and ultras! There will be plenty of chatter on the Facebook page about who is going where, and plenty of encouragement if anybody is ready for their next challenge!
AGM AND
AWARDS NIGHT
A highlight of the club social calendar, this is also an important event for the running of the club. We also like to take this opportunity to celebrate club members and their achievements throughout the year.
SOCIALS
We try to get together about once a month for a non running social event. Invites are sent out on Facebook. Also, in the warmer months, keep an eye out for the odd pub run!
